This page describes the data the Olea app actually uses. The data controller is Louis LECLERC, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), trading as Studio SIT, reachable at contact@studio-sit.fr.
What stays on your phone
Bible texts, the prayer timer and your reading settings are kept on your phone. Olea never asks you to write down your prayers and does not collect their content.
Data needed for the service
If you create an account, we keep:
- your account identifier and the information provided when you sign in;
- your first name, language, reading goal and routine (durations, time of day, reminders);
- your completed days, Bible progress, rhythm and your Olea’s stage;
- your saved and highlighted verses.
This data makes the app work and lets you find your journey on another device.
Signing in with Apple or Google
With Apple, Olea requests your email address and name; Apple may offer to hide your address. With Google, Olea receives your email address, name and profile picture. Apple and Google also process this data under their own privacy policies.
Subscription
Payment goes through Apple. Olea never receives your banking details. RevenueCat receives your account identifier, your Apple purchase receipt and technical data about your device, in order to check your access to Premium.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your phone, with your consent. Olea stores no notification identifier on its servers. You can turn them off at any time in Olea or in iPhone Settings.
Usage measurement
This processing is separate from what the service needs. We use PostHog to understand how the app is used: sign-up steps and sign-in method, viewing offers, purchases, reminders, starting and finishing a reading or a prayer, durations, day number, prayer mode, your Olea’s progress.
These events are linked to your account identifier when you are signed in. They contain neither the passage you read nor the content of your prayers. PostHog also receives technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language and IP address, which PostHog may record depending on the project settings.
The app does not currently offer a setting to turn this measurement off. You can ask for this data to be deleted at contact@studio-sit.fr.
Data that may reveal your beliefs
Using a Bible and prayer app, choosing a reading goal or saving verses may reveal your religious beliefs. This information is used only for the purposes described on this page.
